To learn different new skills, Singaporeans who are 25 years old and above will earn credits. The government has also given S$500 Skills Future Enterprise Credit (SPEC) to about 2.5 million Singaporeans to pay for different courses of their choice.

1. Access to mentors for education 

For example, students will have access to mentors for education and career advice that will help them make good career decisions. In different careers, they will be subjected to opportunities and learning experiences. In training institutions, colleges, polytechnics, and even universities, this continues.

2. Enhanced internships

Students would have improved internships as well. To introduce students to their chosen fields, Singapore has introduced internships for most polytechnic programs and half of the training courses. This is expanded by the Youth Talent Program (YTP), in which students from Singapore can sign up for internships outside the country.

3. Access to ILP 

The ILP or the Individual Learning Portfolio can also be accessed by them. This job portal is open to Singaporeans where they can see their schooling, training, and other data about themselves. When they grow up, they will consider their desires, talents, and goals. They will also be helped by the ILP to look for opportunities and career choices.

4. Access to P-Max for employees

Meanwhile, the P-Max would be open to workers who are only early in their careers. This is the improved version of the Place-and-Train program that positions small and medium businesses inside specialists, managers, and executives (PMEs). This way, in the workplace, PMEs will learn valuable skills and develop their portfolio.

This is also the moment when they will collect their S$500 SkillsFuture starting credit that they can use to develop their continuous learning. Ultimately, Singapore will set up a place-and-train framework for new graduates to open up their possibilities and improve their already-learned abilities. Good performance will also receive sign-up incentives for them. On top of the financial assistance rate of ongoing government schemes such as the Productivity Solutions Grant, employers who are certified for the SFEC and take initiatives to implement business and workforce change will gain additional financial support.

Mid-career individuals may also get access to modular courses. These are short courses based on skills that can help Singaporeans gain more opportunities and progress in their learning. Skills Future fellowships enable them to understand themselves and develop excellent skills with other professionals. Subsequently, they can also earn a 90% fee allowance for WDA-funded courses.
